Popeyes in Myrtle Beach

I have been to the Ocean Lakes Village location twice this month, including today at 230pm, only to be told in the drive thru line that they were out of chicken sandwiches. ORDER MORE CHICKEN!!

I live in the area and can’t tell you how terrible this place is. Don’t try using the app or delivery. They can’t figure it out at this place. Tonight it was cash only. No chicken sandwiches. No corn. So no chicken? Could you imagine going to a McDonald’s and them apologizing that there were no more burgees?

This was my first time EVER to eat at Popeyes and I’m in love! I don’t usually eat deep fried food, and I have originally went to try the chicken sandwich everyone has been talking about. They were out, so I opted for chicken tinders and boneless chicken wings instead. The flavor is absolutely amazing and the staff was very friendly. They also had this sauce that was so good.

The only reason they got a 1 star is because they got the order right, however there were too many children working in there playing, all of my food was stuffed in 1 box, the chicken, the tenders and the fries had sweated soggy, they must've forgot to butter the biscuits and the red beans & rice containers were filthy with beans dripping all down the sides.... SMH I spend $61.00 for a disgusting meal and I don't even live here! Beyond UPSET!

How can you tell me at 700 that all you have is pre made chicken sandwiches that already have mayo and pickle and I can't order one with out because all of them are already made for the night is what I was told and there are items on menu you can't order and the wait is terrible. Come on get it together! They did give a few dollars off so that helped.

Updating my previouspy 5 star review. The newness has worn off now, and the verdict? Still yummy, but ridiculously slow and a filthy front of house. Soda machines missing literally 14 flavors on BOTH machines, It averages about a 20 minute wait to get your food (been here quite a few times). While I still hold the Popeyes franchise in high quality, this location simply is just done. I still eat here, but I implore you, if you want to get popeyes, make sure you have at least an hour.

The only reason they deserve one star was the chicken sandwich was good. They were out of spicy chicken, shrimp, and any type of soda (only had tea). Shorted me a sandwich with my order and when I pointed it out the lady argued with me, even though I showed her my receipt (said it wasn't on her screen). Service was slow and not friendly.

Ordered to go and employees were very nice and food tasted very good.

Went through the drive through while on vacation and wanted to try the infamous chicken sandwich. It was me and others in the car so I asked if they could do 2 separate orders. The lady said no they could not, So I say that’s fine and started to order the food. I ordered a chicken sandwich, it went on the screen and then went to order the second sandwich and she says they aren’t selling sandwiches right now. We had drove a good ways to try the food and just to have to drive somewhere else.🤷🏽‍♀️

Better chicken sandwich than the other guy (y'all know who) Seriously 10/10.

Front counter person was really quiet and she didn't ask us what we wanted to drink and just gave us coke. Service was slow too.

These guys work so hard! They will match what you want with the best deal! Even if you aren't tech savvy! Love, love, LOVE these young people!

As always. Great quality..we dont have popeyes in our hometown Wilmington NC.So when on the road. We HAVE to stop

I was there on 2/7/20 at noon and had a great chicken sandwich. The spicy chicken was just right, spices were good, chicken crispy, tender. I returned on 2/10/20, same time, had the worst chicken sandwich of my life. It appeared it was a reheat or substitute, breading didn't even stick to the chicken. Was so hot with hot sauce it burned my mouth. Sandwich was soggy, chicken was tough. I threw the sandwich away after the third bite. I completed their survey where they ask if you want someone to contact you, they never did. They lost a customer and don't care.

Only the drive through was open. 45 minutes in line. Ordered ahead on app and they had no record of it when I finally got to the window.

Waited for 45 minutes to place an order. We were standing at the cash register for 20 minutes. Nobody acknowledged us the entire time in the restaurant. Terrible service. While waiting, several customers brought their orders back in because they were wrong or missing items. We are very disappointed. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. We will not return.

The food is fairly good for the price, but they're always out of nearly everything they serve. The servers are usually pleasant and again, when they do have it, the food is pretty good. I'd recommend but don't be disappointed if they don't have what you're after.

All Popeyes have only drive thru right now. It took us 35 mins in line. She was only taking 1 car order and making the next one wait 7 mins. A line around the building and only 1 at the check out window. Only taking care of 1 car from order to pay, before waiting on the next car. Need some new managers to kick some butt.

Really liked it!! It was light and not greasy

The staff is very friendly and helpful. wwent in on January 14. The Supervisor and made sure customers we're happy. The place clean and good atmosphere. Very good experience greeting and food was good 👍

My order was unfortunately provided incorrectly and I didn't discover until I got home. I called the store and they told me that they would make it right. I went back the next day and a different manager decided to fix my incorrect order differently and explained the manager I talked to was new. I felt that the correction should have been what was originally told to me. My first and only experience here wasn't wonderful and sides were very small.

I love that chicken (and fries) from Popeye's! Employees were constantly willing down tables, counters, chairs and door handles. Corinavirus be damned, not at Popeye's. Not today! Keep up the good work.

Gave us the completely wrong order... fries were saturated in grease. Remake was burnt and inedible. Saw at least 5 other people with wrong orders come back inside. Cook who looked like he was just frying chicken, grabbed a cup and scooped ice from bin, with no gloves and flour on his hands. The manager was doing her best to get orders out and gain some kind of control. Her shift failed her. If it was my crew I would have fired them all!

I always enjoy Popeye's. The food was hot and everything tasted good.

Let me start by saying that I live in Wilmington, and we don't have a Popeyes. The Spicy Chicken sandwich has been getting lots of press lately, all of which is good, and a trip to the outlets got me just the excuse to try one. The restaurant was packed at lunchtime, and the drive thru was just as busy. After a 10 minute wait in line I got my sandwich combo and it was amazing. The roll is soft and slightly sweet. The chicken is big, crunchy and well seasoned. The sauce is spicy but not killer and very flavorful. I am drooling again just writing about it. The fries were really good too but kind of an afterthought to be honest. I will probably go back at the end of this month, I am kind of glad it's 1 1/2 hrs away, I would eat this twice a week if it was convenient. Excellent sandwich!

First experience with Popeyes. Went to get food found out had no chicken sandwich, no corn, no coleslaw but nobody likes that anyway not the point though. So I ordered some chicken tenders waited for 30 minutes kid you not when I only had 4 people in front of me. Then when I get to the window they then inform me that they are only taking cash. I had cash as well so it wasn’t a problem but I’m sure it was for others seeing they weren’t telling people. Finally get the food and the tenders are pop corn chicken size with literally no meat to them. I stopped at kfc on my way home spent half them money and got to feel all fat and good when I got home.

This location wasn't good. They were out of almost everything. Waited in a long drive thru line only to receive an incorrect bag of food at the window. Unfortunately we pulled away before checking the bag. There was no way we were going to wait in line again to exchange the items.Maybe this is all caused by the current pandemic? We will never know but we won't be back to this location.

They were out of most items on the menu. The chicken tenders that we did get were good though.

Don’t waste your time. Go somewhere else! If you go anyway, be prepared to wait in the drive through for at least 30 minutes.

Possibly the slowest fast food restaurant I have ever experienced. Then the food comes out cold. New management is needed asap.

This location wasn't good. I read the reviews before going, but thought people were unhappy because of the wait due to the Myrtle Beach.We walked inside to order because the drive thru was very long. Went to order and they were out of most everything. The Place was very dirty. There was no way we will go back to this location.

Well i sat in the drive thru for 10 minutes with 7 cars ahead of me, and then 2 employees came out and said all yall need to go ahead and leave because we arent cookin no more.....disappointed

Y'all. I don't normally post things about chains. But that infamous sandwich is well, well worth the hype. Crispy, not greasy, flavorful, spicy but not overbearing... The hype is real. This is the best chicken sandwich you can get in fast food. And they're open Sundays. All the better, all around.

Employees not probably wearing masks...the floors where dirty.i just walked out went somewhere else

Great Popeye Food but the wait time is long no matter if you dine in or drive thru. Never fails at every visit they are always OUT of something. Not sure what the problem is, poor management or incompetent staff maybe both.

Love the chicken! Drive-through didn't have too many cars waited at least a 1/2 hour they were taking one order at a time basically Not the 1st time this has happened

Couldn't find my mobile order for 20 minutes. Ran out of spicy chicken. Then after waiting 30 minutes, they forgot my fries.

For some reason they were doing cash only and this was confusing to me during these times when things should be contactless. Buffalo tenders were not what I expected, just seemed like the sauce was poured on top, which anyone can do on their own. Still giving a high rating because I ate here more than once on vacation and I love Popeyes.
